1. 0000-0002 Title: “sleep noises”. All lower cases. Diluted purple blue.

2. 0003-0040 Outdoor. Two black dead fish lying next to (or under? I am not quite sure which preposition to use) a curb. The right one is big. The left one is small and is on the drain. Strangely parental. The scene is dark and seems to be lit by artificial sources. The shadow is moving fast. Might be a time-lapse? The sound is very synthetic and has a sci-fi quality.

3. 0041-0044 Indoor. Dark. A sleep machine. The time reads 06:05. “serenity” is lit.

4. 0045-0228 Indoor. An old samsung TV on a TV counter (with some players and video games set in it). Visual noise for several seconds then a documentary-like video starts with sound (from the TV or/and the sleep machine?). The image is flicking (probably due to the frame rate).The sequence of images on the TV Trees (orange) > Trees (yellow) > lawn with trees in the back > barns > windmill > tractor > “PIGS” text and real pigs (“pigs” is also enunciated) > one pig looking at the camera > pig chewing > pig walking > pigs meshing > one pig turns its head to the camera > pigs meshing > pig rubbing at the door frame > pigs running > close-up of pig’s feet in mud > pigs meshing (one black pig and one brown pig appear in this shot. in the previous shot all the pigs are white/pink) > black pig’s tail waving > close-up of pig chewing > pig walking > pig drinking.

5. 0229-0238 Outdoor. Camera is moving fast through a field of white flowers and grass and close to the ground. Then the camera tilts (like being tripped?) into black screen.

6. 0239-0240 Black screen.

7. 0241-0307 Outdoor. Daytime. A golf-club-like place with lawn and water. An old presumably lady in a pink silky shirt and white pants and a necklace is holding vertically a relatively thick wooden stick of some tool. The right hand, shoulder, neck and head and body below knees are cropped. She hesitantly scratches her neck with her left hand towards the end of this shot. The sound sounds like real time recording.

8. 0308-0312 The sound continues. Outdoor. A tree with green pears(?) shaking subtly. A rusted something is behind.

9. 0313-0319 A slight cut visually and sonically. The pear in the center disappears.

10. 0320-0346 The sound continues. The white old lady with her surroundings from shot 7 appears in her entire body in the middle and in front of a palm (which is not captured in shot 7?). The pink of her shirt really stands out of those green and blue in the back.

11. 0347-0357 The sound continues. Black screen.

12. 0358- The sound continues. A vertically and horizontally reversed yellow signal light saying “WAIT”. An insect enters the frame and walks (maybe there is a more accurate verb for the movement of an insect?) and the image is blurred. Difficult to figure out the camera angle.

13. 0403-0404 The sound discontinues. The new sound is ambiguous. Like microphone rubbing something. The image is abstract. Dark. Camera probably is moving fast and the lights are captured. It looks like the cameraman forgot to turn off the camera and put it into the bag.

14. 0405-0418 Outdoor. Rural roads (might be a three-way junction) in the dark with trees and signs. Lighting situation resembles shot 1. The road conditions are good. Quiet.

15. 0419-0440 Similar color but a different three-way junction. A US national flag on a post is facing the road. A red stop sign is on the right. Quiet.

15/16?. 0441-0511 Suddenly, with loud sound, a white Audi, followed by a black Cadillac SUV, enters from the right corner of the frame, turns right and exits the frame. It is ambiguous for the sound is abrupt which might mean it is shot 16 but the image is continuous which means it is still shot 15. The silence in shot 14 and 15 could be edited. Where is the camera? Is it in the middle of the road? Then it would be very dangerous. There are sounds probably of gun shot towards the end of this shot.

16. 0512-0525 The sound continues and becomes louder. The camera seems to get closer to the sound source. It is very dark with a green-yellow light in the distance. There is water. But the overall scene is obscure. The camera seems to be held by hand.

17. 0526-0539 Another dark and obscure scene with orange light being blocked probably by a wall and trees on the top of the frame. The image becomes sharp when a sound of gunshot is heard.

18. 0540-0555 Same scene with slightly different angle. Focus is losing. Flash light then a sound of gunshot.

19. 0556-0611 Still dark outdoors. The sound of gunshot is in the distance again. The sound of cicadas becomes obvious. Several constant green lights in the middle are blurred by fog. A red light becomes brighter and keeps blinking. A big building is on the left with its sign lighted from behind.

20. 0612-0620 Black screen. To be precise, it is not a black screen but shooting in dark for there are blacks with different degrees. The ambient sound gets louder while the content remains the same. Footsteps are heard.

21. 0621-0626 Still dark outdoors. Trees. Warm lights. There is a house indicated by light through the window.

22. 0627-0641 A medium shot of a house in the dark lit by warm night lights. A car parked in front of the door. The sound is slight and ambiguous. Might it be a water sound? The shotgun is very far and can be barely heard. Some mechanical sound towards the end (like door opening?). Getting loud with cicada before the cut.

23. 0642-0647 Black screen with loud and dense sounds of shotgun. foot steps.

24. 0648-0703 Out of focus. Trees and lights in the distance. The sounds of a shotgun become distant again. The sound of cicadas remains similar.

25. 0704-0714 Sound continues. Same location from the shot 24. Close-up of some trees.

26. 0715-0721 Sound continues. Similar atmosphere but camera becomes steady. There is a strange figure in the middle ground which looks like a bear?

27. 0722-0729 Sound continues. A cut and the bear figure shrinks and becomes a soft cute shape?

28. 0730-0740 Shaky camera. The sound of a shotgun gets very loud. Water reflecting light in the relative distance. Sound decreases (post-production effect).

29. 0741-0752 Lights’ and trees’ reflection in dark water. shotgun far away again.

30. 0753-0812 Very loud, even dramatic shotgun (almost resembles thunder which has an elongated echo) is heard accompanying a building with its sign “American HOTEL REGISTER COMPANY” appearing in the middle top part of the frame with its reflection in the middle lower. A solemn image.

31. 0813-0841 Camera zooms in a bit and the sign is cropped off. The building becomes more abstract. The building and its reflection is divided by a grass field. There are many flag posts in front of the building. It becomes rather abstract. A weird watery synthesized sound is heard several seconds later. And the building (to be precise, every content of this shot) recedes with its frame.

32. 0842 Really shaky camera. Resembles shot 13.

33. 0843-0845 Similar idea of shot 32 but with a weird aspect ratio (1:1 maybe? it is very dark and the edge is also black so hard to distinguish). Gets more shaky when a shotgun is heard. Sound of human laughing or crows’ chipping?

34. 0846 Sound continues. Black screen.

35. 0847-0916 Similar to shot 33. Shaky. Lights in the middle ground (there is a red light which might be the tail light of a car). Dense shotgun. And when there is a very close shot, the camera will tilt or fall (resembles the end of shot 5) with lights’ spots becoming lines and a rubbing sound and then restore immediately. This pattern repeats six times.

36. 0917-0927 Black screen. Sound continues.

37. 0928-0934 Day time. Previous sound gradually faded. Shotgun can still be heard. A bird with black dotted on its belly and one orange stripe behind its head standing on the ground and blinking.

38. 0935-0947 Camera gets close to the bird and shoots from its left side. Shotgun continues.

39. 0948-0950 Camera starts to turn from the bird’s left side to right side.

40. 0951-0956 I assume it is a single camera movement but there is a small cut. For what? Shotgun continues. The bird is moving its head.

41. 0957-1002 The bird jumps towards the top of the frame and the camera follows it. Its head is turning. Then bird’s chirping (not from the one being shot) is heard.

42. 1003-1020 Trees without leaves. A bird is chirping and jumping from branch to branch in the relative distance. This bird has a yellow tail. Shotgun is heard again but the bird is not scared by that?

43. 1020-1023 Black screen. The sound fades.

44. 1024-1101 Back to the elements of shot 7-10. The old lady, holding a pear in her left hand, enters the frame from the right, walks towards the upper left corner of the frame, raises her arms to reach something (likely the pear on the tree disappears in shot 9) which is out of the frame. She turns to the camera with a clear, however unnamable (confusion with joy?) expression. I don’t know if she did pick the pear because I can only see her left hand which holds the pear when she enters the frame.

45. 1102-1123 Similar camera movement and angle to shot 5. The camera is now moving above the running water. The water runs fast and looks unclean. The camera is approaching a bench. After getting close, it seems the first part is reversed and then played. Sound of water. The reversed part sounds different.

46. 1124-1200 The camera goes to the back of the bench and then moves towards the land. There is a person standing on the land holding a pair of shoes and a tripod. Then the camera turns back to the bench. The camera then rises a bit. Then the first part is reversed and played like shot 44. The reversed part sounds different again. Towards the end of this shot, a synthetic ambience sound (resembles the sound of shot 2) is heard.

47. 1201-1224 The water sound discontinues and the synthetic ambience sound continues. A white man with a cowboy hat and jeans is driving a lawn mower on the lawn. It looks like he is not really doing work but having a good time driving.

48. 1224 A very quick close-up shot (less than 1 second) of the moving lawn mower spitting mud and grass from its wheels.

49. 1225-1229 A white woman standing in front of a cabin and trees on grass. She holds a long shovel in her left hand and a short shovel in her left hand. A pile of vegetation is on the ground on her left side (the lower right corner of the frame). I could not tell if she was looking at the camera.

50. 1230-1233 The camera moves farther a little bit. The pile of vegetation is replaced by a running fan facing slightly upward. She looks more relaxed.

51. 1234-1235 The woman turns her head to the left. The fan is moved a bit further from the woman and the angle of it is lowered a little bit.

52. 1236-1240 Similar to shot 46 with the same sound.

53. 1241-1242 A medium shot back to the woman. She starts to swing the shovel above her head

54. 1243-1247 Same content to shot 52 but a different camera angle. Might be shot at the same time as the previous shot. The lower part of the woman is shown on the upper part of the image. There is a spot in front of her which is devoid of grass.

55. 1248-1301 She starts to hit that absence of grass. When she hits the ground the sound from shot 46 and 51 will be played and will be stopped by the next hit and resumed by the next hit. This absence of grass works like a switch. The shovel is facing down and going up and down straight. 13 hits.

56. 1302-1336 The woman starts to hit the ground in a different way. There is a swing before each hit which means the shovel moves circularly. The shovel is facing up now. The switch functions for 5 more hits and the sound of shovel hitting ground becomes obvious.When she reaches the 26th hit, she turns back to the first way of hitting (up and down straight). She hits the ground 33 times in total.

57. 1337-1345 Black screen with ambiguous sound. There might be some car horns with that similar synthetic ambient sound from shot 45, 46, 51, 54 and 55.

58. 1346-1352 The sound continues. Similar to shot 3. The same sleep machine. The time reads 6:05 (the same as shot 3). “harmony” is lit.

59. 1353-1356 The sound continues. Black screen.

60. 1357-1425 The sound continues. A piece of transparent material with living flies and other little bugs moving on both sides and probably the torn wings of flies of other insects.

61. 1426-1444 The sound continues. A hand with a ring on the ring finger slightly shaking a white ball. There are some lunar-crater-like things on that object.

62. 1445-1456 The sound continues. The camera is looking up at the woman (from shot 48) holding that object. She is petting it. She is looking at it.

63(…). 1457-1511 The sound continues.The woman is pulling and shoveling out some plantation (probably from shot 48) rather violently (due to the shaky camera). This shot is actually made up of several shots but they are very quick cuts and I am inclined to stick them together.

64. 1512-1524 The sound continues. The petting of the white ball resumes from the left side.

65. 1525-1542 The sound continues. The ball is now petted by an old hand (there is a seniors walker behind) with a ring on the ring finger.

66. 1543-1555 The sound continues. Back to the elements of shot 7-10 and 43. She enters the frame from the right and walks to the pear tree and holds a pear on a lower branch which has not been touched before. She then turns to the camera and turns back to looking at the pear awkwardly. She turns to the camera again.

67. 1556-1604 The sound continues. Back to the elements of shot 64. The ball is torn by two old hands. It is yellowish and spongy inside and feels wet.

68. 1605-1607 The sound continues. Two people sitting in camping chairs probably on their driveway facing a rural street. A small yellow tractor with three balloons (pink, red, blue) and three persons (parents and their daughter) passes.

69. 1608-1609 The sound continues. The lawn mower from shot 46, 47, 51.

70. 1610-1612 The sound continues. Back to the setting of shot 67. A red tractor passes with many people on it.

71. 1613-1616 The sound continues. Similar camera angle to shot 5 and 44. The camera follows (not faithfully I would say) a bird running on grass.

72. 1617-1620 The sound continues. Back to the setting of shot 67 and 69. A fire truck passes with its horn and is followed by a red bike rode by a boy with a white baseball hat, a red shirt and blue shorts and a blue bike rode by a boy with a white baseball hat, a white shirt and blue shorts.

73. 1621-1623 The sound continues. Two ants are eating a big insect with wings.

74. 1624-1627 The sound continues. Back to the setting of shot 67, 69 and 71. A larger fire truck passes.

75. 1628-1629 The sound continues. A chicken is shaking its head and a duck is behind the chicken.

76. 1630 The sound continues with the new horn of the current passing vehicle. Back to the setting of shot 67, 69, 71 and 73. A pickup truck with military camouflage and an American flag passes. The person sitting in the left chair is waving at the passing vehicles.

77. 1631-1632 The sound continues with the new horn of the current passing vehicle—A red truck (with charisma’s decoration).

78. 1633 The sound continues with the new horn of the current passing vehicle—A black pickup truck with two thin blue line USA flags.

79. 1634-1638 The sound continues. Three kids are riding bikes and one kid is roller skating.

80. 1639-1652 The sound continues with a loud horn. A rabbit head lies on the ground and attracts bugs. This shot seems to be accelerated in post production.

81. 1653-1710 The sound continues. Back to the setting of shot 67, 69, 71, 73, 75, 76, 77, 75. A man with a green headscarf runs across the frame. Two seated persons are talking to each other.

82. 1711-1715 The sound continues. Black screen.

83. 1716- The sound continues and changes into a more steady white noise. A close-up of a pink broccoli dripping. Title and film credits appear (all in lower cases). It says there are three women with shovel but I only saw two.
